List of Official Kpop Artists’ Instagram Accounts

Updated: 25 April 2018.

Whenever we watched our idols performing on the screen, we get the impression of a particular personality which could actually be regulated and prepared to give out a certain character that entice their targeted audiences. In reality, their personality could be totally different. Who knows? On Instagram however, we probably could get some insights of their real selves. Chances are they could use their own phone to take pictures and post them on Instagram. Those pictures tell more about their daily activities, and the fact that they are also humans just like us. Moreover, the interactions are no longer unidirectional, but two-way which we could also post comments that they could read themselves (and hopefully replied!). It’s a kind of interaction that is impossible with television media.

Anyway, who are your favorite artists? Have you followed their Instagram account? Here are the list of official Instagram accounts of Korean artists, both soloists and groups, which were gathered from various sources.

How to check if an account is real/official

As a public figure, people may use their names to register an account. There could be many reasons for that, either as fan pages, for impersonation, or any other reasons. So, to really know whether an Instagram account is real, we shall look for blue badge with a checkmark besides their username, like this:

Ada tanda centangnya, berarti ini aseli!
Ada tanda centangnya, berarti ini aseli!

That blue checkmark indicates that the account has been verified for authenticity by Instagram.

Among the above Instagram usernames, you may find some that are so difficult to be read, such as Onew’s “dlstmxkakwldrl”. Would you want to know what that username means? Read also my article about why Koreans have usernames with all consonant letters.

If you know official Instagram accounts of any other Korean artists that are not listed above, please share with our fellow readers in the comment section below!
